Whether you're preparing for a special occasion, entering a new chapter, or simply want to discover your best colours, together we'll discover the palette that reflects who you are today.
Do your clothes still reflect the person you are today?
Have you ever stood in front of your wardrobe and wondered why nothing quite feels right anymore?
Perhaps you have a wedding or special occasion coming up and want to look your very best. Maybe you've gone grey and are wondering how your hair colour might change the way you see your wardrobe. Perhaps you've returned to work, retired, lost weight, become a mum or a grandmother, or you're simply ready to invest in yourself after spending years looking after everyone else.
Or perhaps you're just curious.
Whatever has brought you here, colour analysis offers a surprisingly simple way to understand what works with your natural colouring — and to discover new possibilities for the way you dress and express yourself. Curious about colour? Email me and we can have a chat about what’s brought you here and any questions you might have.
Is colour analysis right for you?
Colour analysis is right for you if you are asking yourself...
"Why do some colours make me look tired while others seem to bring me to life?"
"I've gone grey — do I need to rethink everything I wear?"
"I've got an important occasion coming up. How do I know what really suits me?"
"My wardrobe doesn't feel like me anymore. Where do I start?"
Or perhaps you simply want to know your colours.
There doesn't have to be a big reason. Sometimes it's enough to want to see yourself differently, have a clearer sense of what works, and feel more confident expressing your own style.
Stay curious about colour. Sign up for occasional inspiration, ideas and stories to help you discover your colours and express who you are today.
What happens at a Colour Analysis Session?
Your Colour Analysis takes place in natural daylight, using House of Colour's specialist drapes to explore how different colours work with your natural colouring.
And the lovely thing is that you see the difference for yourself.
We'll look, compare and discover your season together, rather than simply being handed a list of colours to wear. Your session also includes make-up chosen to complement your colouring, and you'll leave with your seasonal colour fan to use when you're shopping and putting outfits together.
Knowing your colours isn't about replacing your wardrobe or following a set of rules. It's about having a reliable starting point from which you can develop your own style
What might you discover?
You may discover colours you hadn't considered before, understand why some of your old favourites work so well, or find new ways to combine the colours already in your wardrobe.
You might find that shopping becomes easier because you have a better sense of what to look for. Or perhaps you'll simply enjoy seeing yourself in colours that make you feel good.
And at a time when other things in life are changing, there can be something reassuring about reconnecting with your own sense of style and expression.
Ready to discover your colours? Book your Colour Analysis and start expressing who you are today.
A little about Jane
I've always loved clothes. My original degree was in clothing design, so colour, fabric and the way clothes can express who we are have been part of my life for a very long time.
Later, I spent many years working as a coach, helping people navigate change and discover greater confidence from the inside out. For a long time, I thought these were two completely separate worlds.
Then my own life changed, and I found myself asking some of the same questions that many of us do. What happens to our sense of style as we change? How do we continue to express ourselves when the person we see in the mirror feels a little different?
I'll admit, I was rather sceptical about colour analysis at first. I'd always believed that confidence came from the inside, and I wondered whether focusing on clothes and make-up might be a little superficial.
Then I experienced it for myself.
What surprised me was how beautifully the outside and the inside could work together. I didn't become someone else. I simply discovered another way to express who I already was.
And that's what led me to House of Colour.
A warm welcome in the heart of Tarvin.
Welcome to my studio
My studio is in a beautiful converted chapel on the High Street in the village of Tarvin, just outside Chester.
It’s a light, calm and welcoming space where we can step away from the everyday for a little while and concentrate on you. The studio is on the ground floor of the chapel, with plenty of room to relax and explore your colours together.
The chapel is easy to find, and your sat nav will take you right to the front door. There is easy parking on the street outside.
If you’re travelling by public transport, the 82 and 84 buses stop almost outside the studio.
Getting here
The studio is on the ground floor of the chapel, with steps leading up to the main entrance.
If steps are difficult for you, please let me know when you book. There is an alternative entrance at the rear of the property. Just let me know what would make things easiest for you and we’ll work it out together.
I want you to feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. You don’t need to dress up, bring a carefully curated wardrobe or know anything about colour before you come.
Just come as you are.
"The best colour you'll ever wear is the one that feels like you."
