What an amazing experience. I had lost myself over the last few years and time with Helen has enabled me to reconnect with me. Helen's gentle and calm nature led me through the colouring process and quickly gave me the confidence to "see" the colours that suited me. The kindness she showed during the consultation enabled me to embrace my style and provided the springboard I have needed for a long time to be me again. This experience has completely changed how I feel about clothes and more importantly how I feel about myself. I feel I am on a journey to a new me. Someone who is confident in my own choices and style. I only wish I had done this 20 years ago! I can't thank Helen enough for supporting me with this journey.

As I stepped out of Helen's house after an afternoon immersed in colour, I felt more 'me' than I had in a long time. I knew that the session would be fun and informative, but I wasn't prepared for the profound effect it had on my confidence and self-esteem. I had the most fabulous colour consultation with Helen recently!  I loved every second of it; from learning about colour in her home studio, chatting about all things clothes, make up and colour, and the most fun bit – finding out what my optimum colour palette is.

I could really see the difference to my complexion and general ‘look’ when I had the ‘right’ colour drapes on me; it was quite a revelation!  Finding out more about make up (for someone who wears it sporadically) was really enlightening too; I feel so much more confident about which shades of make up suits me best, and I can’t wait to get those lippies on!

Since my colour consultation (2 days ago!) I have separated my wardrobe into two parts, sold some clothes on a pre-loved website (and maybe bought some new bits!) and cleared out all my old make-up….eagerly awaiting my new stuff to arrive!

This was truly an experience just for ‘me.’  As Helen so aptly put it, it’s like a spa day that keeps on giving – it’s not over the moment you leave…more of a journey that has only just begun.  I’m now excited about finding a few new clothes that make me look the best version of me, and feeling so much more confident about wearing make up.  Thank you so much Helen; I can’t wait for our next session on style!"

What a life-changing experience!!

My wife had her ‘colours done’ a few months ago and I could see the transformation - I thought I might try it, as I am at a loss when trying to choose things that may look alright on me….. 
Helen was brilliant - a great introduction to the history and science behind it - fascinating! Then the process was really incredible as I began to see and realise the points that Helen was making! I only ever really wore different shades of blue but I now have a choice…. and more importantly, I can choose it!! Had my style session with Helen and it was a super positive experience. It was not about fashion or trends (which I find intimidating) but my personality and finding the style that represents me the way I want for work and for fun time. Helen supported me to come to conclusions with guidance, not rules, so I could go forward feeling comfortable in my choices. The session was very engaging and I especially liked how she taught me to notice the different things about the different colours. My colour re-rate was extremely helpful.  Helen made me feel at ease straight away.  The explanation of the theory behind it was clear and made total sense.  Helen gave time for me to see myself, encouraging me to make my own discoveries.  Her guidance with the makeup was revolutionary for me as no make-up wearer.  Having your colours done is a game changer, and although it seems like an expense at the time, it will in the long run save you money and make you look your very best.  I can't thank Helen enough.

Really recommend taking the plunge and investing in an appointment! Helen is clearly very good at what she does. I arrived keen to understand more about colours but feeling a bit doubtful whether it would work. I thought maybe I wouldn’t quite fit in a box and thought I sat between warm and cool. Helen was really thorough and methodical and found an amazing balance between patience and enthusiasm! She didn’t push any opinions on me but was quietly confident in the process and after a while, I began to see the colours altering my face. Since my appointment, I’ve started digging out winter colours that I used to wear when I was younger and I feel great - I look healthier and more awake. Since getting home I’ve found that almost all my lipstick and other makeup was the wrong tone for me really - too warm or too muted, and I was wearing warm-toned jewellery, so picking out earthy tones that didn’t really suit me, no wonder I was confused!

What an amazing morning I spent at the beginning of April with Helen, House of Colour consultant, at her house, in my home town of BOA finding out about my "colours" and finding out what season I am. So chuffed, loving Autumn colours anyway, that I am an Autumn and having everything explained to me in such a personable way by Helen and enjoying her company so much and having so much fun and a bit of a giggle I can honestly say it was an experience I will never forget. Having had colour analysis many years ago, I have long wanted to do the style session as well - I finally did this with Helen yesterday and it really was worth the wait. We had a lovely afternoon and it was fascinating to discover exactly why I have always felt drawn to certain styles and shapes, and not to others.
