My journey with House of Colour began some 20 years ago. It was a huge turning point in my life.
Finding out which colours bring me alive has given me a lasting joy I could never have imagined when I walked through that studio door for the first time.
Knowing how to dress to reflect who I truly am has revolutionised my self-confidence. It has made getting ready each morning a delight, not a chore.

A purpose‑built, warm, bright, private and peaceful studio on the ground floor in Lee (SE12)—serving Blackheath and Lewisham.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll find a calm, welcoming retreat with beautiful natural light and a lovely garden view where you can relax, breathe and simply be yourself. You’ll be met with kindness, encouragement and a judgement‑free approach—this is your time to feel seen and heard. Whether you’re here for Colour Analysis, a Re‑rate, Children’s Colour or a Make‑up Tutorial, each session is designed to be nurturing, practical and confidence‑building. Clients leave not just looking different, but feeling refreshed and inspired, with clear next steps to use at home. Next, I will provide advice on jewellery, watches, glasses, and, when applicable, hair and makeup based on your season. Our makeup eliminates the guesswork, enhancing your natural beauty with colours perfectly suited to you. Finally, we’ll dive further into your season as we identify the best colours for both your casual and professional life, uncovering your collection of WOW colours.
You will leave your appointment equipped with a fan of your seasonal swatches and a tailored brochure filled with personalised tips and reminders specific to you, empowering you to confidently shop for and wear your new colours!
For optimal accuracy, arrive at your analysis without spray tans or makeup. Your privacy is paramount, so no photos will be taken or shared on social media without your consent.

Next, the most delicious coffee and because I had not eaten anything, a cheese scone - not normally part of the service but homemade, warm and glorious.
Now to the service itself. It was immediately apparent that I was in the hands of a master. Ann was patient and thorough, telling me not only what she was doing but showing me step by step how she arrived at my season. Each time she placed the right colours on me, I all but popped out of the mirror like some HD image. It was magical. Ann was genuinely thrilled each time I 'popped'! I am a 'Sultry Winter' and walked out with a renewed confidence in my own appearance which I have sadly been neglecting lately. I am currently overhauling my wardrobe - even though she told me to do so piecemeal. I am just so excited because I look amazing and most importantly, alive.
