A Life Changing Experience:
Little did I know that my relocation to Yorkshire from the South East would open up so many opportunities for me in 2003.
My sister in law had “her colours done”, after which her boundless enthusiasm was infectious, so I just had to follow suit. Well, so much changed for me that day. For the first time in my life I was shown how to look my best, not just for that special event, but how to look good every day.
Immediately I started to wear the right colour makeup, and within days the compliments started to flow. I started to shop for clothes with a focus, every new item in the right colour was an investment in “me” and gradually my wardrobe significantly reduced in size but I had so much more to wear which I felt good in.
I have built a small wardrobe of colourful coordinates, which mix and match together, which gives the “illusion” of having an expansive wardrobe. No longer do I make those expensive mistakes and clutter my wardrobe full of “sale bargains.”
So after years of working in the IT industry as an IT Trainer and then an IT Project Manager, I decided that I wanted to be one of the lucky few that pursued vocational work. I have never regretted my decision to become a Colour Analyst and Image Consultant. For me, “I really do the best job in the world.”

P.S. As Coco Chanel put it: "If a woman is not well-dressed one notices her for her outfit, but if she's impeccably dressed it's her that one notices"
Testimony:
My daughter persuaded my husband to buy me this as a Christmas gift. It was indeed `timely’. I’d entered the phase of `late middle age’ and to be blunt, I’d lost my sartorial compass. I was never what one could call a clothes horse but I’d begun to feel invisible. What did my image say about me? Did I even have an image? Having watched several episodes of What Not to Wear, I was treading a middle ground between boring and tragic. Oh, how I envied those defiant rule breakers who just didn’t care.
Karina was brilliant in that she inspired us all to make the most of our physical attributes and to identify clear steps forward. Style is not to be confused with fashion; style is your personal statement, your signature. Fashion changes but personal style reflects the inner `you’, whatever one’s age. Karina’s objective was to set us on the path to developing a practical & easy set of guidelines. By knowing what to look for when selecting clothing, anyone can feel good about their appearance, thus releasing time and energy to devote to weightier matters.

My colour analysis session with Karina was the start of me re-building my confidence after having 2 babies in as many years. My journey began back in October 08 and its impact for me was both immediate and very emotional. I returned home with my new make up on and my children recognised the change straight away, they couldn't stop smiling and stroking my face! I was so shocked by their reaction I tried to introduce my new colour palate and make up gradually into my daily routine, but as soon as the compliments started flowing in I went all out! Gone is the black from my wardrobe and even though I have bought very few new clothes what I have co-ordinates and I know it suits me. Seven months on from the start of my journey I am looking forward to returning to a leadership role in a new school with considerable responsibilities, a position I gave up, partly due to lack of confidence, following the birth of my second child 2 years ago. This time last year I would never have even considered a new job let alone going to an interview!! Of course I wore my palate of colours and make-up and after being offered the post I was complemented on how lovely and professional I looked by a member of the interview panel! I believe that colour analysis has changed my life and it is the best investment I have ever made in myself.

I've had so much fun and the positive comments have been unbelievable. I went and bought a purple coat and absolutely everyone has commented on it. I am adjusting to wearing more vibrant lipstick and again people now think I've started to wear make up when all I've done is change my lip colour. I've started to be more bold in my colour choices and have moved away from browns and greens. The transformation hasn't been that hard but so many people have noticed how much better I look and are convinced I've lost more weight.
I must admit I've always been intrigued about whether wearing the right colours made any real difference. Colours are very obviously the key.
Thank you for a very inspiring morning. When I get some spare time I would love to come back for a style make over.
I cannot thank you enough, I feel life is going to get more exciting and my confidence is sky high!

My next door neighbour announced she was having a colour analysis, style and imaging and a make up session for her birthday. My ears pricked up, as over twenty years ago I also had colour analysis and was found to be an Autumn. Have I “worked” my colours? – well yes to a certain extent but certainly not fully. So what was this style and imaging I asked – and found that it involved looking at your face and body shape along with “the real you” to discover your clothing personality. Well I had always been very “limited” in my dressing although I knew what I liked – but then nothing really went with anything and some clothes were never really worn. So twenty years on and aged 50 pus I decided it was time not only to start using my colours fully – but also dressing in a style that really does suit me.
So a friend and I booked in for the style analysis (at this point she hadn’t had her colours analysed.
We spent a fascinating day with Karina – and both learnt such a lot. I am a natural romantic and she a natural classic – and knowing each other as we have done for 24 years – we could both see how everything fitted together. It was a life changing and life enhancing experience – after Karina had looked at my face shape she told me to wear my hair off my face rather than covering my ears as it made me look younger. This I did from then and I can’t tell you the positive comments I have received– everyone loves my new look and how simply it was achieved just by tucking my hair behind my ears!!!
Of course my friend decided she wanted to have her colours analysed before she completely revamped her wardrobe and as a 20 year old Autumn I decided to have mine reviewed. In addition we decided to have a short make up session to compliment the colour analysis
After the style analysis obviously I had to concede to a little retail therapy! - using my colour wallet of course! And what fun I had – but best of all I knew it was a good investment (that always goes down well with your significant other!!!!).I knew I was buying clothes that would last and that were right for me – in both style and colour.
We went yesterday for our colour analysis and make up session – another inspiring day – and more information to take in and digest – seeing my friend’s analysis as a Spring just reminded me how easy it is to look good simply by wearing the right shade of colour for you.
The whole experience has been life changing for me – and I mean that most sincerely. I feel not just confident but completely comfortable and at home in my clothes now.. Although for me the pathway has been slightly elongated starting as it did 20 years ago, knowing my colour and my clothing personality has been essential for me to be able to build a workable wardrobe of clothes for all occasions. I would always recommend anyone thinking about having colour analysis to have the style and image and make up session as well as they compliment each other so intricately.
