Let me preface this by complimenting the studio space in which I sat for my consultation: oodles of natural light and frolicking squirrels, it really was a dream. Next, the most delicious coffee and because I had not eaten anything, a cheese scone - not normally part of the service but homemade, warm and glorious.

Now to the service itself. It was immediately apparent that I was in the hands of a master. Ann was patient and thorough, telling me not only what she was doing but showing me step by step how she arrived at my season. Each time she placed the right colours on me, I all but popped out of the mirror like some HD image. It was magical. Ann was genuinely thrilled each time I 'popped'! I am a 'Sultry Winter' and walked out with a renewed confidence in my own appearance which I have sadly been neglecting lately. I am currently overhauling my wardrobe - even though she told me to do so piecemeal. I am just so excited because I look amazing and most importantly, alive.

I've just got to fight the sudden urge for world domination. My confidence is sky high!

Ann has a great eye for colour and I was particularly struck by how she was able to differentiate between shades that are very close to one another, such as powder pink and ice pink, and judge which one worked best with my skin tone to make me look the most radiant. Irene is an absolute star! I hired her for a mini-color analysis with me and my friends for my 30th birthday party in London, and it was such a wonderful experience. She was incredibly prompt and communicative, and she brought such a positivity to the gathering. I was told about House of Colour by a friend of mine, so as a Christmas present to myself I booked a full day session. What I liked about the day was it helped me focus on those colours that suited me and confirmed why there were items of clothing I had that I was not sure of. My Colour & Style day with Jackie was a real treat: we spend so much time looking after everyone else that we forget about ourselves! 

I've been covering up middle aged spread for several years and wearing rich, earthy autumn colours partly because I love them but also wanted to stand out now that I'm older.

Introducing the less saturated and cooler colours of summer was a revelation. I've always avoided these because I thought they washed me out but they make me look far less severe. Jackie showed me how they really light me up, especially with the help of a little bit of make-up.

The Styling advice really helped too. I now understand how to dress for my body shape and not wear tents which make me look a lot bigger than I am.  It was also so interesting to engage with how my character impacts the way I dress. 

I'm now having a really lovely time rebuilding my wardrobe.

I remember going to her beautiful studio to take photographs of her work and over the course of those very first 15 minutes, I was 100% won over! Michaela very quickly made me feel totally at home and comfortable, which is important if somebody you have only just met is going to be in your personal space for several hours. She is personable, very easy to chat with and talks you through the process as she is trying the different colours. Michaela isn't afraid to say if she is getting mixed messages with the colours and needs to try a slightly different approach. The time went very quickly, which is always a good sign, and I came away with lots of really useful information about which specific colours and jewellery colour I should wear if I am trying to look my best. A really pleasant and useful session.

I had such a wonderful time at my colour analysis session. I arrived to find a beautiful studio with snacks & an offer of a drink as soon as I arrived. WOW – what a difference a day can make!
I confess, being someone who lived in jeans and never wore make up, I was sceptical about the idea. However, knowing how much fun any time with Elise is and being intrigued by what had got her so excited and enthusiastic, a date was set.
Not only does Elise make you feel at ease straight away, she also feeds you marvellous cake and gives many titbits of advice all the way through the session. Through from explaining the colour wheel, discovering colours (I love those scarves) to looking a makeup, Elise made me feel confident to try colours I wouldn’t have dreamt of wearing before. Sometimes you reach out for help at the cross-roads of life, and Elise was there for me at one of those. Ill health has changed my life, but Elise's gentle encouragement has re-directed me and re-invigorated me. She looked acutely - but not judgmentally - at me and has nudged me onto a new path . I was able to be 100% honest with her. Clearing out items and thoughts which no longer serve me has liberated me and given me a huge confidence boost.
I am in love with my colour palette again and I have the mantra of my style "type" in my tool box. I no longer look wistfully at fashion as I can quickly dismiss colours and style as "not mine", which is even more helpful when you are looking for larger sizes and you have limited options. This clarity is such a relief - and it has brought the joy back into dressing. I don't have a clothes budget, but I've released the burden of having the wrong-for-me clothes in the wardrobe and I've made some amazing second-hand finds which give me daily joy.
I did some shopping (after 18 months of no-shopping before I saw Elise) and found myself - for the first time in my life - only keeping the 100% items instead of the "that will do" items.
I sold my inherited gold jewellery and had my existing items re-made into items I actually wear, and got a dream-handbag in my favourite colour, so I have a daily reminder of my new path.

I cannot reccomend getting your colour analysis/classes done with Elise enough. I have done the colour analysis, style class and make up class and all have been so much fun and also so helpful. You come away with tools and information to be able to make much better clothing choices and much more equipped to look your best. You also learn so much about yourself! Elise is friendly, chatty, makes you feel comfortable, it honestly feels like spending a day with your friend. She even wisked me off to a bra shop she knew during my style class at no extra benefit to herself when I admitted I was uncomfortable every day due to having none that fit properly! After your class you are provided with an online wardrobe with clothes items that match your style and colours which is also extremely useful.

Elise was lovely. I’d previously had a terrible experience with a different colour and style consultation company, where I’d had my colours and style done, but was just left believing that my colours, height, and body shape meant that I could never look good, and that these were the reasons WHY I hated clothes shopping so much. The colours and style analyses did nothing to improve my confidence, despite the consultant being very experienced. I believe this is because the company’s style consultation just wasn’t in-depth enough to help me.

I had the total opposite experience with Elise. I came away liking my colours, and with the confidence and information on how to dress that suits my colouring, my height, my body shape, and my personality. I’m now excited about developing my style and extending it as a part of my personality.

I felt that Elise really cared about whether I came away confident, or not, and that I had a much better experience with her than the one I’d had previously.

I had booked a session with Kate two years ago but was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer on the day of my session. The good news is that the cancer is now all cleared, but it left me with a severe lack of confidence and struggling to start a new life as a retired lady. I have always struggled with deciding what the right styles were for me and trying to tone colours. I knew how I wanted to look but not how to achieve it.

Before our session, Kate had asked me to think about my objectives for the sessions and to think about how I would like to look. This was such a valuable task and gave Kate and I a good starting point in our discussions.

Kate was such an inspiration. I felt as if I had known her for years and we really covered so much in the day. I came away knowing not only which colours suit me but with a whole new insight into my body shape and dressing style. Who knew I had a touch of romantic in me!!

Since then I have had such fun sorting out my wardrobe. Shopping for clothes has become a joy, It is now so much easier to head for the colours that I know are going to suit me. All of my clothes now go together and I love getting dressed every morning. My confidence has had such a boost and I now approach new situations with a confidence which I have never felt before.

If you are wondering whether to book a session I would say ‘go for it’! You will love it and be amazed at what you find out about yourself – enjoy!!

With a cup of coffee in hand and some delicious cake to eat, I learnt about the science behind the colour wheel (fascinating!) and then spent a very happy 2 hours refining the colour palette that was me. Helen's expert eye combined with her passion for colour made the process so much fun. Finding colours and makeup that made my complexion sing and gave me a wonderful radiant glow was fabulous.  I left feeling energised, vibrant and ready to take on the world looking and feeling my absolute best. I had the most fabulous colour consultation with Helen recently!  I loved every second of it; from learning about colour in her home studio, chatting about all things clothes, make up and colour, and the most fun bit – finding out what my optimum colour palette is.

I could really see the difference to my complexion and general ‘look’ when I had the ‘right’ colour drapes on me; it was quite a revelation!  Finding out more about make up (for someone who wears it sporadically) was really enlightening too; I feel so much more confident about which shades of make up suits me best, and I can’t wait to get those lippies on!

Since my colour consultation (2 days ago!) I have separated my wardrobe into two parts, sold some clothes on a pre-loved website (and maybe bought some new bits!) and cleared out all my old make-up….eagerly awaiting my new stuff to arrive!

What a life-changing experience!!

My wife had her ‘colours done’ a few months ago and I could see the transformation - I thought I might try it, as I am at a loss when trying to choose things that may look alright on me….. 
Helen was brilliant - a great introduction to the history and science behind it - fascinating! Then the process was really incredible as I began to see and realise the points that Helen was making! Really recommend taking the plunge and investing in an appointment! Helen is clearly very good at what she does. I arrived keen to understand more about colours but feeling a bit doubtful whether it would work. I thought maybe I wouldn’t quite fit in a box and thought I sat between warm and cool. Helen was really thorough and methodical and found an amazing balance between patience and enthusiasm! She didn’t push any opinions on me but was quietly confident in the process and after a while, I began to see the colours altering my face. Since my appointment, I’ve started digging out winter colours that I used to wear when I was younger and I feel great - I look healthier and more awake. Since getting home I’ve found that almost all my lipstick and other makeup was the wrong tone for me really - too warm or too muted, and I was wearing warm-toned jewellery, so picking out earthy tones that didn’t really suit me, no wonder I was confused!

Having had colour analysis many years ago, I have long wanted to do the style session as well - I finally did this with Helen yesterday and it really was worth the wait. I was lucky enough to receive a gift voucher from my nieces. It’s been a challenging couple of years, and honestly, I think I lost myself a little bit. I stuck to drab, boring colours because it was easy.

I booked a group colour analysis and makeup session with Charlie for myself, my mum, and my sister. We had been talking about getting our colours done for some time and with my sister's wedding on the horizon it felt like the perfect time to do so!
Charlie was incredibly welcoming from the offset and made us feel right at home. She explained the theory behind colour analysis with examples that really helped us to understand the science behind the process.
Charlie took her time when draping and it was eye opening. I had no idea that the right colours could even impact your face shape and make cheekbones and jaw lines appear more defined. I had always thought that I was an autumn season like my mum and sister, but it transpired that I am in fact a winter. I tried colours I would never have previously considered and am going to have a wardrobe revamp now! Similarly, she was able to discuss the best hair colours for the autumn season with my mum, and we were able to focus on the best wedding dress colours for my sister.
