Hurrah! The sun’s out… well, kind of... But even with occasional sunshine, your skin is probably changing colour. Has your make-up embraced the summer vibe? Here’s a quick guide:
Do a foundation check
As your skin colour begins to deepen, check that your usual mineral foundation isn’t too pale for you. You may want to go a shade darker.
Don’t forget, your stylist is always on hand for a summer make-up check. You don’t have to commit to a formal class – just contact your stylist to arrange a get together for individual advice. Get in touch to book a quick half hour.
Summer is great for feeling confident with the natural look. A quick brush of mascara and a bright lipstick - you’re good to go. If you’ve a few more seconds to spare, BB cream or a mineral dual compact applied with a kabuki brush will give smooth velvety radiance.
Your kabuki brush is also ideal for bronzer, applied where the sun would naturally kiss your face – forehead, nose, cheekbones and chin.
Fancy trying a new colour?
Now’s the time to try out a brighter eyeshadow. Or how about a new eyeliner pencil? We’ve just introduced some great new colours – including gold, blue and emerald green. Check them out here. Whether you’re warm or cool, you’ll find one that’s perfect for you.
… and for those balmy summer evenings
During the day, you may be wearing a soft natural lipstick with a slick of lip gloss – or perhaps a brighter lipstick colour. But on hot summer nights, a slightly deeper shade will work beautifully.
And talking of hot nights, a shiny nose is always a risk. That mineral dual compact will come to your rescue, so it’s good to keep it handy.
