I first came across colour analysis about 20 years ago when a friend of mine made an appointment with a House of Colour consultant. The difference was quite dramatic. It turned out that she was a Winter and should be wearing clear cool colours. So out went her browns and beiges and in came blacks, greys, bright pinks, electric blues etc. and silver coloured jewellery. She looked wonderful - her skin looked clear and fresh, her eyes brighter and the strong lipsticks were stunning. Altogether a whole different person.
You would have thought that I would have immediately made an appointment myself, but at the time I was happy living in my black. It goes with everything doesn't it (?) and everyone tells us it is slimming.
Four years later a rather large birthday was looming and confidence was ebbing. So a trip to an Image Consultant now seemed to be a good idea. I booked colour and image classes and horror of horrors, I found that black was definitely out for me! I was a Spring (the lightest, brightest season) and black was making me look heavier and older. I could see the difference in the mirror - my neutrals of chocolate, tans and beiges were more flattering on me and I looked slimmer. Incredible. Coral and warm pink lipsticks looked great - my eyes looked bluer and my skin warmer.
The image day brought another shock - I had a small waist, not big hips (as I thought) and should be wearing clothes to accentuate this asset rather than hiding the hips under baggy jumpers and long jackets.
I found that not only did I look different but I felt more confident and happier in my new look - I had found what was right for me.
This was 17 years ago now and I am delighted to say that I have been running my own successful consultancy for the last 16 years, showing both men and women how to make the very best of themselves.
I look forward to hearing from you and to take you on this magical journey.
CAROL PAGE
Having moved to a new area eight years ago, I joined an amateur dramatics society to integrate into the community and met a very friendly House of Colour consultant. I attended both colour and image classes and was totally bowled over by the whole experience - especially that, as a 'winter' I could still wear black! The knowledge and skills gained helped to improve both my confidence and self-esteem (especially after receiving an abundance of positive compliments when wearing my new colours and make-up).
Recently I have been fortunate enough to be invited by Linda to join her business and am thrilled to be offering classes at my studio in Ickenham. I look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you on this exciting journey of discovery and helping you reach your full potential.
