Hi, my name is Jane Wallace and I am the Consultant for Ashford & Canterbury in Kent. I’m married and live in a very old converted pub just outside Canterbury with a connected studio.
I was introduced to House of Colour by surprisingly my husband about 15 years ago. It was one of those big birthdays and he handed me an envelope, a trip to Paris or perhaps shopping in New York I thought. Eagerly I ripped open the envelope to find a Gift Token for Colour Analysis, Image and Make-up sessions with House of Colour. I was less than pleased! I was sure I knew what suited me.
I have dark hair and eyes and had always dressed in autumnal colours. At the Colour Analysis class I was astounded to find that the moss green I wore made me look drab, older and that sharp clear colours made my skin look clearer, my eyes brighter. As for the make-up my whole face came alive, like someone had waved a magic wand. I looked younger and felt great!
More revelations were to come. I lived in baggy jumpers to hide my ‘big’ hips. The image class taught me that I had a small waist, not big hips and should wear clothes to accentuate this asset rather than hide it! I also learnt how to express my own personality in my clothes – little flowery prints weren’t for me, I didn’t have the body or personality to wear them!
This whole experience totally changed the way I felt about myself. I knew exactly what suited me, and stopped making all those ‘mistakes’ which just hang in the wardrobe. More importantly, changing the colours and shapes of clothes I wore immediately made me feel more confident - compliments flowed. I was a changed person and felt great inside as well as outside.
Little did my husband know what he started with that, what I now know, was a great present.
If you would like to find out more please ring or email, I would love to hear from you.
Also starting in 2007 I will be holding Style Breaks.
If you have ever fancied a weekend away with girlfriends, family, partner or maybe a Hen Weekend and would like to combine it with something different and lasting then this could be for you.
On the same property as my studio there are 2 holiday cottages, one sleeps 4 the other 8 and they can be linked to make one accommodation.
So choose which session(s) you would like to do during your stay. Must include Colour but then depending on what you would like to do you could team it with make-up or Image or both. If you do the Image Session you may like to include a shopping trip.
The session(s) would take place during the day and then the evening would be your own.
Take a look at the holiday cottages website: Slippery Sam's
Holiday Cottages
Booking for accommodation and sessions need to be made together and in advance(Style Breaks are not available during July/August).
Lastly, I can also offer the House of Colour Education Programme - Inset days , twilight sessions and conferences.
Topics covered include Professional Appearance, Body Language , Introduction to Colour Analysis and Personal Style.
Dates are by arrangement but if you think you may be interested please take a look at the Image in Education section on this website or give me a call. I can run these sessions in Ashford/Canterbury and surrounding areas.
