Hello, my name is Jane Lowther, thank you for your interest in Colour Style and Image at House of Colour Maidstone.
I am married with 2 young daughters and prior to joining House of Colour in 2001 I spent 13 years as a Manager with Marks and Spencer and before that 3 years as a Hotel Manager with Trusthouse Forte .

I work from a studio  south of Maidstone in Marden, a beautiful village in the Kent countryside.

I have always enjoyed working with people and as an Image Consultant with House of Colour I am now able to combine the skills I developed from my previous careers, together with my love of helping people to feel good about themselves and to have a great time. I have just achieved HOC's coveted Star consultant award for the fifth time and I have recently joined the Head Office Training Team.

I began my own journey with House of Colour in 2001 and it really did change my life.

I'd always wanted to 'have my colours done' but I just hadn't got round to it. My husband bought me a Gift Voucher from House of Colour as a surprise after I took redundancy with M&S.I would have decribed myself before, as being well presented but although I spent ages deciding what to wear I never felt confident. I had always felt a bit dull, wearing colours that I now know made me look washed out. I had a wardrobe full of clothes yet nothing to wear! The Colour Class and Make Up Class were a revelation but the Image Class just found the key to me feeling great about myself.

Attending courses with House of Colour is a real tonic, how often do we spend time on ourselves for something that will last forever.

I run Colour, Image and Make-up classes during weekdays and some weekends. I also hold Men's classes.

Hello my name is Amanda Abbitt.

I too live in rural Kent, and I am married with 2 grown-up stepsons and a large garden to keep me busy in my spare time.

My journey with House of Colour began when my husband bought me a Gift Voucher for a Colour Class. I had changed careers, leaving behind a City job for college, studying garden design, and I couldn't work out why none of my clothes seemed 'right' anymore. Knowing which colours really suited me gave me my confidence back, and when I attended the Image (now Personal Style) class, I found out why City dressing worked so well for me, and college dressing didn't!

I joined Jane in 2011, and we now share the studio in Marden.
