First Impressions Count

Uniformed front-of-house staff seem to have been the focus for Public i in recent weeks.    From five star West End hotels to international banking and insurance headquarters in the City and Docklands, our clients have recognised that the first ambassadors for their organisation, their Reception Teams and other front-of-house staff have a vital role to play in how visitors and clients perceive their organisation.

Public i put together bespoke training programmes for each of these organisations.    Understanding the importance of image as a communication tool is vital to all members of an organisation.     An organisation’s first ambassadors in particular, need to ensure that they are demonstrating the company’s values and branding through their personal presentation skills.

Because putting on a uniform doesn’t automatically guarantee that an organisation can achieve its first impression objectives:  the uniform has to be worn correctly and the wearer needs to fully understand what its design is meant to represent.

Female uniform wearers in particular need to ensure that their grooming and accessorising compliment both the uniform and themselves as individuals, otherwise the whole intention can be sabotaged.

With all of our recent training experiences with these team members, Public i was able to incorporate within the training programme some practical and individual advice to ensure that female delegates were wearing the appropriate colours in their make-up, hair where applicable and the right coloured metals for their jewellery and accessories.

Because
     Image = attitude + behaviour + appearance
our training programmes focused on wearing a uniform with pride and how to achieve the ‘wow’ factor in customer service as well as avoiding the ‘ow’. more>>

The delegate feedback says it all: “I really enjoyed this training and can recommend this course to all fellow colleagues and other companies, especially those who work in this particular area of a company.”
