Joanne had her colours 'done' by another company 15 years ago, it was not a success and she took no notice at all! Her weight grew steadily afterwards, and she hated clothes shopping. Joanne felt middle-aged, fat and therefore wore black!
Having finally embarked upon the Lighter Life programme, then her House of Colour journey Joanne now speaks enthusiastically, and from the heart, about how LL and HOC are succesfully combined.
As she said "When you loose three stone, not even your shoes fit!" |
Joanne explains that you need a whole new wardrobe after LL, and as clothes give us such a boost in confidence and self esteem, it makes absolute sense to choose wisely and avoid costly mistakes.
She explained how her LL clients go through their weight loss programme in groups of seven to 13, meeting weekly for two hour sessions. Mobiles are banned, and that time it just for them. It is a chance to consider and reflect upon their relationship with food, and why, when, and how they can change that relationship. Joanne knows there are many and varied reasons for the low esteem her clients display. Some have had huge traumas in their lives, but everybody works through the process with the support of their group and their counsellor.
