Dear
House of Colour
I
Just wanted to give you an update of the life change you have helped me make. Once again another amusing story that may make you chuckle.
I met with a very gay friend of mine today that I have not seen since I had my colours done. We went for lunch in St. Albans. I arrived early, and decided to do some shopping in the market. The compliments that I received about a newly acquired necklace purchased from 'expensivetaste' was wonderful and then, it started....
... as soon as I showed at any stall, the stall holder stopped what they were doing and stared; being the very demure and shy person that I am, I did not become concerned that I might have spinach in my teeth! Packed shops, busy stalls all took notice and stared. I loved it! My smiles got bigger and I got taller. Attention from men in this way is one thing, but when the attention is from women, I start to get concerned. Then at one jewellery stall I felt the eyes on me, really staring. "That is a lovely necklace, it does so much for you, you look fab" they said. "If we design some jewellery for you would you wear it and let people know about us?" What do you say to that?
After that adventure (30 mins of it was so exhilarating), I met with my lovely gay friend. He stopped dead in his tracks, and said, "WOW, I so wish I was not gay, you look gorgeous". During lunch I had the feeling that he was not quite listening to me so I paused for about 5 mins, asked if he was OK. "Sorry", he said. "I really can't take this in, I just have to look at you"!!!!
By the way, a new selling angle too for you for people wearing their colours or wearing their styles......
People want to give you discount!!!!! I can't get over this. I bought a new handbag in a sale, curved, soft shaped, furry texture and in my colour at half price of £30. I only got charged £25 and I was on the phone whilst being served! I finished the call at the end of the transaction and the sales person said what they had done. I could only show the appropriate gratitude and they were more than happy.
I can see that one day soon I will get in so much trouble....but in my boots I am so looking forward to it!!!! Thank you for giving me this lease of life.
Yvette
