Diana Blakeman - Image Consultant Southampton/Salisbury/Romsey Diana's journey Discovering Colour and Personal Style - nobody teaches us this at school!
I used to wear drab and baggy clothes, I looked dull and old!! I never realised it....now it's a completely different story
My journey started back in Nov 2002. I went to a presentation on Professional Image, which turned out to change my life and inspire me to become an Image Consultant (I was an Accountant at the time!) I have been on the most amazing journey ever since. Discovering what colours look fantastic on you, what style of clothes work for your body shape/proportions, and which style reflects who you really are, will enable you to see yourself through new eyes! Just putting the finishing touches to your look will pull everything together, so that even you notice the difference
This fascinating experience is for everyone, my clients span the whole age range, as well as men and women from all walks of life. Learn how to look good on the outside and feel good on the inside, knowing that what you aere wearing reflects who you are across all areas of your life.
Looking back, it's really strange to reflect on my previous career, in Finance, working for a large international company for nearly 20 years, I spent the last 12 years focused on People Development, Coaching and Mentoring, enabling me to use the skills, experience and knowledge gained in that environment, to add another layer with the personal awareness and development training. This is all focused on enabling people to have a new insight about themselves and others, as well as encouraging people to fulfil their potential
In addition to working with individuals, I am an accredited trainer with Public-i, and work with: businesses on maximising business through their people - see the HOC in Business link, and in Education, including CPD - more information here.

Fiona's story I first encountered the House of Colour over 15 years ago. I thought my Consultant looked fantastic and I wanted to look my best too. I was impressed by her professionalism and amount of information she gave me in the colour analysis class. I wanted to make the suggested changes, except that I hated "being an autumn" at first! I'd been wearing "winter" colours for many years (in other words the complete opposite) so the change was going to be noticeable. In my first week my dry cleaner remarked that I looked so much better (and all I had done at that time was use the right make-up!)
After several months of adapting to the new colours I followed with the style and image class. Again more fun and lots more information. Now I was ready to stop wasting money making clothing mistakes and was getting better at seeking items that worked best for me (taking into account my inner personality as well as outer image). I am sure that this process helped me progress in my professional career (in Training and Human Resources), and ever since having my colours analysed I always waxed lyrical about House of Colour to everyone at every opportunity. I believe colour analysis and style/image training should be mandatory. Everyone should know how to make the best of themselves - not just for their career but for their own confidence and enjoyment of life, never mind the money-saving from not making wardrobe or make-up mistakes. There are so many benefits that come from the skill and knowledge that House of Colour Consultants use and share that I felt it was absolutely value for money, and knowing it was a one-off cost was even better.
The earlier you do this the more you will benefit. Book now and see how it helps you improve your life. I'm so impressed with House of Colour that at last I have decided to help people by becoming a Consultant myself. And, having completed the training I am even more impressed with how this makes a difference to people and how House of Colour are the cream of this industry. I look forward to meeting and helping you ...

Thanks again for opening your studio and shop late on a Sunday afternoon. We felt a bit like royalty or A-list celebrities being given out-of-hours access to Harrods. You sure know how to look after your regular customers and we wish you every success.

Thank you so much for such a fantastic day on Saturday. It was absolutely brilliant fun and lovely to meet the others. What an eye opener with our colours! It’s truly amazing. I just loved it. I had on a t-shirt yesterday that got me the wow factor from my brother and sister in law! I can’t wait to come along to the image day. Thank you so much, once again, it was lovely to meet you and look forward to seeing you soon. Lizzy (Andover)
I still regard the money I spent on my colour training with you as the best £90 I ever spent - continue to get at least weekly complements on my wardrobe and colour co-ordinated accessories, don't think I'll ever get bored of that! Estelle H (London)
I thought I'd send you a quick update as to how having my colours done has completely changed my life! The black has gone and I'm in brown!!! (and green, rust, kingfisher etc) I feel so much better about myself, it's made such a difference. Mum did go to one of your colleagues in Cambridgeshire and we've just had Saturday shopping in London for clothes! Such fun Thea T (Southampton)
Diana, thank you for a lovely colour analysis day. My mum, sister and I all really enjoyed ourselves and found it very relaxing, not in the least bit stressful. It was great that you worked with us so that we all eventually "got it", rather than just telling us what we were. Made it much easier to follow the process ourselves. Your make-up demo was great and my sister is now wearing make-up everyday, which is a first. She looks fabulous, at least 10 years younger! I must admit I got a bit of a shock to discover I was an "autumn" and an even bigger one when I opened my wardrobe and realised that most of it was black and white - neither of which are my colours. However, a clearout was long overdue and its been liberating to get rid of things that no longer fit etc which do nothing for me. I love the leather wallet of my colours - I have taken it shopping with me and its been so easy to shop for my colours rather than just looking at all the rails. Feedback from friends has been very positive and I've had some great compliments saying I look well, and have I done something to my hair (which I haven't). I am happily recommending you to friends and family and will be back for the make-up class and the style day. 2008 is really the year of transformation. Paulene Chalmers

Wonderful Person! Diana is amazing, such an inspiration, always supportive. I decided it was time to really explore my image and Diana provided an excellent service that took me from finding out the colours I could wear to sorting out my wardrobe and then shopping! Oh yes - that was sooo much fun! I have never enjoyed shopping due to my height 6 ft and 36"inside leg long arms and size 9 shoes with of course narrow feet as well - a nightmare to fit. We sailed through shops in London and Guildford and Diana skilfully steered me to perfect fits and choices. Diana had done her homework, she kept me focused and we achieved more in that time than I would have done on my own in 6 months. Diana saved me £100's of pounds of mistakes I could have made, and helped me design a very new me. Thank you Diana Caroline Des-Rivieres Director Pink Apple Ltd
I used to regard shopping as a chore and had little idea of what colours and styles to look for. As a result, I made choices based largely on habit. Since attending your Colour and Image Day, I know exactly what I am looking for, so shopping is more fun, I don't waste time considering unsuitable garments, and I do go home confident that the clothes I have purchased will look great on me! I wish I had done it years ago. Richard - Marketing Manager
It was quite a shock to discover that while my wardrobe was full of lovely colours which complimented each other, they did not, on the whole, compliment me! I spent a lot of time staring at my colour samples, then after a few days, everything was out of the wardrobe and drawers and all over the bed. About one third fitted the bill, two thirds was in the cool spectrum. I spent the next few days wearing the "right" colours I already had and then began a bit of shopping. I am now enjoying looking for summer clothes ideas. I feel I have retrained my eyes to pick out the right colours now when I go into a shop. It has been a very interesting experience. Thank you! Susan
You have certainly inspired me so much, although I had my colours, makeup etc done some time ago, it was only recently since coming to your sessions that I really decided to stop messing around and try and make the most of what I have learned and so I am not making so many mistakes now, and think more carefully before I buy.
