| I
first came across House of Colour as a result of being turned
down for a job. I was well qualified for the job, had given
a good interview and was turned down because, the panel thought,
I appeared "too boring".
I couldn't understand it: they wanted a chartered accountant!
Now I knew I wasn't boring, so obviously I was giving the
wrong impression. Accordingly I took myself off to my nearest
image consultant (Kaye Ure - Kensington) and discovered some
fascinating things. I found out that the colours I had been
wearing drained me. The styles I had been wearing diminished
me and my long hair drowned me when left loose or, when put
up in a "sophisticated" knot for work, made me look
very like the popular idea of a librarian.
No wonder the interview panel judged me boring.
The impact the change in my wardrobe and hairstyle had was
amazing. I would never had believed I could look this good,
or feel this confident. I am now delighted to be a House of
Colour Consultant myself.
My commitment is to help men and women to find this confidence
for themselves. The good news is that everyone is much more
attractive than they think they are. It is only a question
of discovering the colours and styles that suit them. I see
the colour and image classes as a part of our personal self-development
journey. Part of it involves finding out what is inside and
putting it on the outside, so we are telling the truth about
ourselves. For me that meant putting a lot more fun into my
wardrobe - even for work, and acknowledging my femininity.
For you it might mean letting out the powerful tiger(ess),
or the adventurer, or the siren. It can all be done in a perfectly
appropriate way whatever the occasion; work, casual or pulling
out all the stops party time.
Please give me a call or contact me by e-mail/snail mail if
you would like some more information.
